No you don't. When you are at last on a Boss like Thor or Odin. Shielders try to contain him. Which involves NOT hitting him with 1 handers. Than you have the other Commandos hit him with Hammers.

That. Not only bosses in the game. DWP is a great weapon, never had anything better in my hand. RGs maybe have different role against bosses than to slash one, still they can do alot with a strong 1H before it comes to the finaly. Also consider that a Legionnaire is made to close quater with 1H...
