Hello everyone,
It has been a while since our last release! We would have updated sooner but one of the early main features requires a major rework to core code. That feature will be added in a future update but happily, we have many more features that are ready now.
This also marks the start of a double-xp event which will continue through September 5th.
Bot changes: - Added Boorish Commoner (Normal mode donator enemy).
- Added Wolf Clan Conscript (Hard mode donator enemy).
- Tricksters have learned a new ability.
- Thor finally learned how to throw his Mjölnir.
- Thor's AoE affects deployed Tower Shields.
Chat changes:- Native (team) chat is now disabled on NordInvasion game modes.
- Players have a variety of commands to their disposal. Type /help in chat to show the available commands.
Extra health for infantry heroes:- Applies to Zweihander, Legionnaire, Juggernaut and Royal Guard.
- Based on your body armour value of your body armour and gauntlets.
- Represented by a green bar below your main health bar.
- Once your normal health is depleted, you will tap into your extra health.
- When the extra health is keeping you alive, you will become immune to stuns.
- Regenerates after not receiving a hit for 10 seconds and for 5 health every 5 seconds.
Mini-map updates:- Updated the icons.
- Reduced and standardised the size.
- Added player spawn locations with highlighting for the selected spawn point.

Hello everyone,
The rules for gameplay have been updated to clarify a position we have held for some time now:
- If you are going to wear low-tier armour, be careful not to cause other Swadians to get friendly fire from hitting you. Do not use your low-tier armour as an excuse to not contribute to the team (especially as a high-tier player).

This should help to clarify that players should make an effort to contribute to the team when it can be reasonably expected of them. This includes unlocking classes when appropriate and equipping appropriate gear. High-tier characters wearing low-tier gear is acceptable so long as it does not interfere significantly with the player's ability to assist the rest of the team.

Hello everyone,
We've updated the trading rules a bit to help deal with the increasing number of threads and to make your thread bumps a bit easier to schedule. - There are three types of posts that fit on the trading board: WTB, WTS, and WTT.
- You may have one of each type of post active in each of the trading boards.
- If you have multiple offers that fall under the same type in the same board, they should be combined into one thread.
- If you routinely have many trading offers going at the same time, you might consider creating a shop.
- WTUC (uncrafting) threads should be made in the relevant crafting board rather than the trading section.
- Threads my be bumped every 20 hours (dropped from 24).

All,
As you may be aware (or may not depending on how many emails companies have spammed you with), a new EU regulation called the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") comes into effect on 25 May 2018. While it is not intended to catch operations like NordInvasion, as we do store some personal information of our players, we have taken the opportunity to formalise our Privacy Policy (https://nordinvasion.com/privacy.php). I would encourage all of our players to review this.
The short message I would like to impart is that this changes nothing for the vast majority of our players. We do not use any personal information we hold for marketing purposes and we do not share it with third parties for marketing. For a breakdown of the information that we do hold and how it is used, please do read our Privacy Policy.
Children's privacy
The main area of change relates to personal information of children. The GDPR introduces an "age of consent" for the collecting of personal information. To that end, I would like to highlight the following section of our Privacy Policy:
"Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, NordInvasion does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 15 (or the applicable age for your jurisdiction under Art.8(1) GDPR). By using any of our Sites, players are deemed to self certify that they are of the requisite age of consent under their jurisdiction's enactment of the GDPR. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 15, we will delete that information as quickly as possible (subject to the below). If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 15, please contact us at hypernoma@nordinvasion.com.
If any player is under the age of 15, access to our sites can be granted by the provision of parental or guardian consent to the storing of person information regarding the child under the age 15. If you seek to provide parental or guardian consent for a child under the age of 15, please contact hypernoma@nordinvasion.com."

Hello NI community,
This patch, in addition to fixing various bugs, introduces a rework of bolts to make them more directly comparable to arrows and follow a more linear progression. Ammo count was reduced to make up for the large amounts of damage they do and to coincide with the drastically lower rate of fire of crossbows compared to bows. This indirectly nerfs repeater type crossbows, so they received some extra accuracy to help make each shot count. Please keep in mind that although some of the damage changes on the bolts look large, crossbows do not have their damage multiplied by WPF or Power skills like other weapons.

Hello everyone,
This patch clears up a number if issues introduced by the last update (and some old ones). - Players will no longer be incorrectly marked as dead when you join a server during prep time.
- The last attempt to fix that problem has been rolled back.
- This should also fix the most recent batch of too many barrels and tomes spawning.
- Replacing items causes the death animation (yes, you can jump off tall structures and into walls again as you respawn).
- Servers should no longer load blank maps with random names from time to time.
In addition, the AU game servers have been completely reinstalled in an attempt to improve their performance and stability.
