New item for engineer (traps!) - dirtydog351 - 28-02-2012

How about adding traps for engineers?

for example

level 1 single foottrap can trap 1 solder in it for 2 mins
level 2 net can hold 5 unluckly npc that walk into it for 2 mins
level 3 spike trap damages 5 unlucky npcs that walk into it.. and holds them for 2 mins
level 4 explosive barrel same as before..

and to make it fair new items for medics

level 1 beer for all stops damage to all players in area for 5 seconds
level 2 vodka stops damage to players in area for 10 seconds
level 3 crazy booze stops damage to all players for 15 seconds and boosts damage
level 4 medieval adrenaline stops damage to all players for 25 seconds and boosts damage

I like the idea of traps. But ones which deal damage instead of trap bots would probably be more practical.

Firsly: Was the closest one in time i found about what i wanted to request.
Secondly:
-from 2011
-Is about a cage.
-Is about a ranged weapon.
-Didn't read the whole thing, talks about lots of things (traps at the end).

I think the idea of a small barrel (cheaper and with way less power damage) is easy to implement.

A thread from December 28, 2011 is invalid because it's from 2011. Meanwhile, a thread 62 days after that (Tuesday, February 28th, 2012) is perfectly valid and should be bumped.

Old or not, funny idea it might be. Not sure if really useful though. It the trap stops bot from moving it helps little unless it's a boss. But that wouldn't be fun to trap boss and slowly shoot him while he can't move. If the trap explodes it is quite what can be done with barrel.
What precisely is your idea?
