What about buffing redshirt stats and making the progression to tier 4 less steep.

I personally never saw the reason behind redshirts being so puny.

Weak yes, but not so weak they just hide behind their shields while waiting for others to get the kills.

Provides a poor introduction to such a great game :/

I guess an easy server would cover that too though.
