He is a shielder; a defender so isnt it more suitable to have most defence out of all classes? Also why should a 2hander damage dealer get best armors too? (lol) Where is the balance in that? It just sounds like you want your favourite 2hander damage dealer class with best armors out there to be playable in NI

I would make my main a Commando slasher because he has a heavy warhammer, is a medic and has a res tome. I would make my 1 alt a shielder because I like helping the team also I made a royal shield for the exact purpose as shielding and helping the team. My main problem with the current commando is they have too much power and are the 2 hand damage dealer class that can also be a 1 handed hide in a corner shielder.

Yup, i agree with commandos already being more powerful than other (melee) classes; hence thats why i've suggested pikeman class to have equal armor values as commandos somewhere around here. I still want defenders and slashers being 2 different classes other than being 1 united class, but to seperate them you need to give shielders something more than a shield. (Maybe turning autoblocking off can be good enough reason to pick shields over 2handed weapons, but i hate manual blocking and its not very suitable for NI )

I disagree.
if you have 2 shielder class people and 3 commando people in a map, it is the same as having 5 commandos in a game minus the ability for shielders to change to slashers. Also, having a shielder class promotes afking. Who would want to just sit through games over and over standing still and pressing u so the shield stays up?

Nerf the commando? Please dont give them anymore of these ideas... I'd say boost the pikemen to make them more logic as slashers.

We could keep the commando but make 2 very specialized classes.

I disagree with the idea. Seeing now that its already hard enough for the redshirts up to the tier 3 people to even make it to skirm round on normal. If you were to make a sole sheilder class as you have said giving them a 1h and a great sheild with great armor. Isnt that the same as a commando? lol. The commando is a great all around class and I say we keep it as it is. If you were to make another class it would be even harder for the new people playing this as we all know how long it takes to level your character up let alone having an alt class. My final word is...Keep it the way it is.

imo the simple fix would be to nerf commando 2 handed usage and move most of the top tier 2 handers to the pikeman (but re-name pikeman to something else), so commandos would be left with strong armor and shields and the new pikeman gets strong slashing weapons to balance thier weak armor, just my 2cents
