As said in the first post. Me (Rydell) and Zocki "we´d like to remodel some low quality models in Warband. Our future goal is to help NI team in creating NI2 assets."
With Terath we have created a list of low quality models that require retexture or whole new model. That does not mean we are gonna restrict to this. I would like to help with new assets (Props, Weapons, Armours, Particles) to speed up making of another updates.
Regarding the low settings topic:
- Number of polygons in case of retexture stay the same. I only change UV map layout to achieve greater details in models. All props use one texture 1024x1024, while my retextures have their own texture which is 512x512. This is not affecting performance to notice any frame rate drops. With retextures the models look clearer and might be used more often, with larger size.
- Remodels may vary with polygos. However, as I discussed with Terath all props as well as bot items are restricted to 1k tris. Hero items may reach up to 3k. This should allow game to still be stable and optimized.
- All changes can be reverted.
I know changing models will not give the game second life, but it can give smile to some old veterans who can see that their mod is still progressing an there are people who can help with developing it.

I also wanted to help with creating NordInvasion for Bannerlord. The game will be using PBR based engine, which I am able to create models for it. Creation of assets could begin even before release of Bannerlord, to give mod huge headstart.
