You mean that "Smooth Vertex" http://prntscr.com/itsdwt ?

And yes im using Blender

In edit mode, there is a tab called "Shading / UVs" in the left menu. There you can use the smooth shader for the faces / edges / vertices that you selected. If you want to keep things edgy, you can use the other shader (eg. for the tip)
