Enemy Troops! Throw your best ideas at me!
#41
I think it would be fun to have a few rare waves that have a very small chance of occurring in place of one of the standard ones; which would also allow for a higher chance of rare drops and some funny/silly waves of troops.

For example:

Nord Katana Brides
  • Katana
  • Bridal Gown
  • Bridal Veil
  • Throwing Stars
  • High Chance of Dropping Sparkly Necklace

The Knights of Ni
  • Winged Helm
  • Black Armor
  • Black Plate Boots
  • Cursed Stones
  • Mallet
  • High Chance of Dropping Shrubberies (I couldn't help myself)

Amazons
  • No Armor
  • Long/War Bow
  • Bodkin Arrows
  • Elite Scimitar
  • High Chance of dropping special bow or Twisted String

The possibilities here are endless.

Hired Specialists.

-Stones, Two hander
-Black or Whites armors/Robes
-Easy-medium
-They are slow, theirs stones are heavy and damaging, they are good at melee combat (fainting, chambering)
-They should have shortened voulge or Morningstars

Swiss Mercenaries

-Polearm and Two Hander
-Red armor
-Medium-Hard
-They are really strong together, mass attack in groups
-Pike and Halberd.

Swiss Mercenaries? Rather say Rhodok mercenaries, they ate the pike-polearm faction.

Perhaps have the Rhodocks attack Swadia fter the NI's start, to capture as much territory as possible, since Swadia is weakened. Save them for that invasion, if it ever comes?

Sentinel Mercenary

Weapon: Custom Arbalest, Morningstar, Steel Shield
Armour: Coar of Plates, Full Helm
Difficulty: Hard
Description: A very slow unit at walking speed, with a slow to aim/load crossbow that can take tremandous damage against any player (100p) with extremely high health to withstand assaults (250hp). However, he only appears as only one unit in a certain high level wave. Cannot be flinched/stun with normal weapons. Blunt and pierce damage recommended against this unit.

Nord Looter
=-=-=-=-=-=

This enemy is dress in the armor of the dead and using whatever weapons he has found in the past
Or he may be completely naked with no weapon

I think this guy would be fun to fight because he could be anything between a lowly peasant to a knight decked out in plate armor
Or he could spawn with nothing and attempt to punch you to death..

          -=Armor=
Helm:  Random Helm  (low-high tier) (1/2 chance to spawn with nothing)
Chest:  Random Armor  (low-high tier) (1/4 chance to spawn with nothing)
Hands: Random Gloves (low-high tier) (1/2 chance to spawn with nothing)
Feet:    Random Shoes  (low-high tier) (1/2 chance to spawn with nothing)

        -=Weapon=-
Slot 1:  Random Item  (2/3 chance to spawn with nothing)
Slot 2:  Random Item  (2/3 chance to spawn with nothing)
Slot 3:  Random Item  (2/3 chance to spawn with nothing)
Slot 4:  Random Item  (2/3 chance to spawn with nothing)

This isn't so much of an enemy troop type as many enemy troop types for one wave. Not sure if this is possible (probably isn't), but it would certainly make for an interesting wave.
  • Phantom
  • whatever weapons the player character normally has equipped
  • whatever armor items the player character normally has equipped
  • difficulty relative to player team's composition
  • they're basically copies of each player team member, including stats and items equipped

So a wave of Phantoms would consist of one Phantom for each player team member, and each Phantom would be tied to one player character. I think this wave should occur only quite rarely (makes it more of a pleasant surprise that way), and never more than once in a round. I'm not sure if Phantoms would only appear for player team characters who are alive at the time, or if Phantoms would appear for each and every player team character whether he was alive at the time or not. An additionally interesting but possibly difficult to implement feature would be having the Phantom perish if it the player character it is connected to dies.

Nord Giant

After their huge losses against the Swadian forces the Nords have angered a Giant and led it towards Swadian lands. These powerfull creatures are to be avoided. Being widely known for their great power and their reputation as maneaters. Luckilly they are just as eager to attack the Nord forces who have led the giant towards you.

- Like the Vikingr Giants these ones are stretched models to make them bigger while maintaining hitboxes.
- Two-handed wooden club. Upper attack will be a instant kill and crush through blocks. Side swings will crush through blocks and send you flying.
- Low quality armor. Fur shirt and shoes. Hight health though.
- A boss in a boss round.

Nord Giant Herder

These herders are highly sought after for their skill in herding Giants towards the enemy. Or so they would like to think, as they are nothing more then bait to move the Giant towards the enemy.

- Ordinary humans.
- Short Spear, Stones.
- Low quality armor. Peasant/hunter equipment.
- They "accompany" the giant.

Ideally they are not spawned at the same time as the Giant will also attack the Nords who have angered him.
