If a class is useless you will see that it isn't played much. As far as I can see now the Hoplite is useless for about everything.. the shields are too weak (if they could use aegis/sok that would stir things up a bit but you would lack armour for a proper shield role), the melee damage is ok ish i gues but there is nothing that isn't done better by other classes.

I think making AB usable on sentry would fix it a bit. As a Two hand specialised class it makes sense to me.

I'd leave Legio where it is. It is a very versatile class and a lot of fun to play. The Hoplite might need a re-work though, perhaps Leandero's suggestion to give him better shields could make it a reasonable shielder, we'd get something like Pavise - ranged unit that can replace RG if needed.
