Nothing is impossible, it's just a matter of determination and probability.

I read through it but Blender still doesn't come easy. Like the guide gives you the tools but I still can't figure out how to turn a cube into a sword.

I'd suggest using Wings3D, IMO a lot easier to use and to learn using. I can very (veeery) much suggest watching this tutorial, as it covers the very basics of modeling in a very good way. It might show the guy using an older version of Wings, but it still works the same
And good luck, by the way!
I was never here, you saw nothing...

Blender is not very very approchable indeed. Actually Senni's guide is quite good, even if I would say it lacks of pictures (icon pictures would be welcome). If you had mentioned in your guide that we could take some picts to help, I would have done it while learning
A second thing, personally I have read and understood 95% of the guide and I still don't know, for example, how to change only the colour of an item... If there was a small guide about how to handle Resource and Textures files, then people would learn modeling more easily. And there would be, maybe, more modelers... Just my opinion about Blender and this guide. Some modelers have done very nice things so far

Post suggestions at in the guide thread, and I'll go over it at some point
Will probably add pictures, maybe even a video :O.

I'm having fun playing around with blender trying to figure it out. Locking thread anyways. Thanks for the input everyone. Hopefully by the end of the summer I'll have created a decent warhammer texture.

Nvm, unlocked. I gave blender a go and have this so far:

Anyways I don't feel ready to post in models/textures yet but I was feeling happy because I'm starting to understand blender so I wanted to share my progress Feel free to relock/move/delete.

Not to spoil things, but I think the Spike on end is a bit to ''sharp'' I think.

Quote:Not to spoil things You spoiled things I like the point how it is actually. Will look a little less pointy when I curve it. Could easily be changed though.
