i installed 1.1.8 and even connected to an AU server but when i try other servers it keeps on kicking me

yes.  Because 1.1.9 just came out with a bunch of bug fixes.

i thought something was weird because not 10 minutes ago i donwloaded the only version available which was 1.1.8

Speaking of which, the AU server is now up to date (1.1.9).  There were some connection issues which prevented it from being updated sooner.
