Fix new cades models, allow everyone to build

It had been said already so many times, so I thought why even bothering making another thread about this new building system neverending saga but it seems like it's needed to clarify things once again.

1. Decrease new SHC height so defenders standing meter away would be able to throw axes and spears to Nords heads without hitting their own SHC. Illustration:

You might be able to see that I'm even standing ABOVE cade level and still hit it. And it's not happening with T2 SHC, obviously (one can take both cades and check it by himself if it's not obviously for him).

2. Remove T3 Wall cade decorations. They are not required, they obstruct vision and make harder to build and maintain cades. There are simply no reason why these decorative elements exist. It also being said so many times, and no one cares. Illustration:

3. Allow everyone to build cades. Regardless medic/engineer/with cades in inventory/or without. Building only by engineers leads to disorder and mess in public runs. Regardless being more challenging from team support perspective it adds nothing but irritation and other negative emotions. There are other means to provide in-game challenge except adding artificial rules to cades building.

I will make a poll because otherwise you will say I'm only person in the Universe with such problems and I'm not.

Regarding to point number 3. If there are only a few people spawning cades, none of which are building or they do not know how to cade that map and are not communicating effectively, the runs wipe easily.

Especially point 1. Please if not working on 2 and 3, fix the damn hight of these cades. As inf you just cant jump over it and even on faster classes it needs a perfect timing to do so. They are supposed to help the team and not handicap them.

yup all 3
hate being a medic and not being able to build. so many times where all my teameates refuse to build and we wipe on like w6 hard b/c no one literally wants to build a shc.

While I haven't experienced not being able to shoot over Strong Barricades myself, I did find it very hard to jump on or over them. As far as I know, Terath will shorten the height of the cade.
We did discuss the second issue you pointed out, because it was brought up in another thread as well, but we haven't reached a decision yet.
As for the last point, this will not happen. We want distinctive support classes with their own roles, giving Medics the ability to build barricades makes no sense to me at all and is really in conflict with the changes we have recently pushed. After all; you are an Engineer or a Medic, not an Engineering Medic or an Medical Engineer.

Thanks for bringing up the issues. I'll keep the thread open for a few more days, so everyone that hasn't had the change to provide feedback, will be able to.

Agreeing to point 2 and 3.

Medics not being able to build cades is the onliest problem in the new cading system, in my opinion.

You are commando or sharpshooter, not a sharpshooting commando, yet an infantry can still pick a crossbow and shoot. He will just be just bad at it.
Saw Killing floor brought up as a comparison sometimes, just see the welding: the designated class (support specialist) will be much better/faster at welding doors, but anyone can still do it if necessary.

Give the same treatment to engineering, allow everyone to build, and work around the building speed.
Basically, if you really want to balance the classes, make cading a hassle for non-engineers ( like 10-15s per cade ), but not an impossibility.
