It's based on the Arma 3 engine iirc. I am not sure, but the new major features are the looting system, inventory, graphics and zombies i believe...

yes? it that really the arma3 engine? the old dayz is based on arma2 and arma3 isnt released yet

yeah .. but I think Arma is from Bohemia Activison and DayZ too ... just another Designer ( Dean Hall ) so its possible with the arma 3 engine ... 8)

It's not the arma 3 engine.
It's a customised version of their helicopter sim engine afaik. It's pretty much Dayz's own engine, arma 3 will be slightly different.
Nothing is impossible, it's just a matter of determination and probability.
