It's hardcoded. The only mod I know so far that's beaten it is cRPG, because of its implementation of WSE, which the devs of this mod are very reluctant to use, due to its similarities to spyware.

It's because it's supposed to be trotting, but when it's healed, it runs at full pace. The hitbox travels faster than the animation. It's a result of the most recent cav nerf. It's pretty much broke...
