It's like legacy isn't dramatically better then durendal in its normal mode but legacy offers a 2nd mode that's unique to that class

I think the same having played warden around 1k hours. Natan also suggested crushthrough to bows (seems unrealistic but we have different unrealistic things in the mod), there could be a potential for second mode which aids crushtrough.
Just the fact that volcanic daggers can do what they do is ridiculous and basically put warden on the chopping block as soon as they dropped
They offer effectively about the same game play as sniper so would be interesting if at least warden could act a bit like how a pikeman can throw stuff using his bow
Sniper has less armour and doesn't have the melee option pikeman has he only has flight speed so given the right stats I don't see why this can't be a thing
Idea just popped up since warden barely uses its arrows why not have him shoot two (at same damage to 1) for second mode, whereby he has a chance to crushthrough with one and other would be for the damage, just a thought.
That's been roughly suggested 10 years ago and got a no from I think kip himself if I remember correctly so got doubt that would be the way they would go about it
On that topic tho you could change how warden arrows are like dramatically lower the ammo count but up the damage just by a bit so ye it's better then all heros by a lot still but something you actually need to pay attention to in comparison
You get rewarded if you have good aim and look after your ammo

If we are still on the topic of crushtrough you could just simulate it with 1 arrow that takes 2 or more from quiver that could be something that works for a second mode.

I love your idea of poison arrows, the poison damage are more accessible in another pve mod named "FullInvasion" .Although they are mostly used as ammo for magic weapons. I sold my warden in the end of 2023 ever, but let it back in the end of 2024. hope it more funny.

Without changing the class too much, there is the option to add different types of arrows. Things like higher damage with low flight speed for defending the cades at close range, or lower damage but some amount of armour negation so that body shots will deal appreciable damage, or single ammo teleport arrow so that they can escape danger, or single ammo blast proc arrow for precision barreling. Just some ideas.

I think adding more arrows wouldn't be a good solution as we already get 2 bows for 1 class. People like the difference between Tempest and Typhoon. If you wanted to streamline warden you could merge 2 bows (possibly gonna get hate for this - so bare in mind just an idea), and have one mode that is faster and one that's slower, dealing different amounts of damage. It would be ideal for those that want speed in certain situations and those that want damage in certain situations.
This would also give warden a certain 'buff' outside of stag bow and ullr's bane. As you could alternate between both to your liking.
