Website Stability Upgrades (Inc. new forum address!)

Dear NordInvasion Community,

Just a quick message to say that our forum has moved so please update your bookmarks! The old forum address is no longer in use! We have been working to stop the persistent crashing and have moved the forum to a different location. Concurrent with this, we have also installed a new security system on the forum.

Areas of the nordinvasion.com interface are also presently being worked on to make them more stable and secure. As such, some of the pages will periodically be going offline. We apologise for the inconvenience but it is necessary for us to improve the mod.

We are working, as fast as is practical to complete our work and will let you know when this process is complete.

Dear Community,

The NordInvasion development team has been hard at work on the next patch. Towards this end some changes to the website have occurred.

Short list of latest changes:

Added house crafting
Integrated house crafting with individual professions.
Added sell confirmation button on marketplace when selling your inventory
Added a display of your Player ID on every page in top right corner

Changed House Player Invite to use Player ID instead of Player Name
Changed what happens to players when a house goes broke, they will no longer be stuck.
The download folder should now be fixed and have the correct name.
Player house invites will now be charged out of the HOUSE BANK instead of the inviting users bank. Make sure your house has enough money!
- [li]House leaders can now appoint two captains. They can hire and remove captains without the need for dev intervention.

House Crafting

In order for us to implement house crafting, we have developed a new crafting system interface. House leaders are now able to chose one of three professions for their house. As we roll these functions out, recipes will be added to these professions. At present they are empty, so you, the community can see the direction we are going in with regards to this new feature.

The three new specialisations are:

Defender: Your house will focus on the production of heavy armours and heavy weaponary
Attacker: Your house will focus on dealing damage fast (DPS).
Support: Your house will be able to produce better barricades, medic equipment etc.

Houses will have to work together to level these new professions up. Each profession will have access to basic gears but only the specialisation will be able to craft the most powerful items.

Concurrently with these efforts, new items will be added into the game with the next patch to roll out this feature.

NI Official Auction #2

The Auction is now CLOSED!!! Thank you to everyone who took part!

It's that time again folks, the 2nd Official NordInvasion Auction is here! This is your chance to grab some goodies for a cheap price. Unlike last time however, we have a dedicated website to host the auction; we call it NIbay (like eBay but way better!).

Follow these steps to make sure you are ready for when the auction starts:

1) Go to the registration page to get your account created (If you need help with this click here or click "Help" at the top bar for the FAQ)
In order to register your account you will need:

Your NordInvasion Character ID (click here to see how to find it)
Your Forum Username (if your name is less that 6 characters please use a underscore ( _ ) before or after your name)
Password [i](this does not have to match your forum password)

2) Get familiar with the website, have a browse around and add the items you are interested in to your Watch List (link on the top right of the item you are looking at)
3) Wait until Saturday 22/12/2012 00:00:00 for the auctions to start. It will end 2 days later, on 24/12/2012 00:00:00
4) Get bidding!!!

Important bidding rules:

[li]There is no reserve prices on any of the items, meaning that the the item will be sold for whatever the ending price it
There is no proxy bidding, meaning what you bid is what you pay, for example: if current bid is 10,000 and you put down 50,000 then thats the current bid
The NI staff will NOT tolerate time-wasters at this auction. If you bid to buy an item you must make sure you can afford it. Anyone found to be griefing or rising prices "for the fun of it" will be dealt with accordingly.

If you have any questions or queries or would like the rules explained in more detail post them here please. I will try to answer all of them ahead of Saturday so that you have the best chance of winning an item.

What happens after you win an item?

After you win an item you will receive it in the account you specified when registering within 1-2 days after the auction ends.

This is under the condition that sufficient funds exist in this account. If there are not enough funds you will be contacted to provide the funds and will incur a 50,000 GOLD late payment fee.

Hey community, It is time to release a christmas patch

We have put together a small patch mainly focused at a christmas server for some snowball fun! Get out killing those Nords to grab a christmas hat and some snowballs to come play on the christmas deathmatch server. Please DO NOT use your normal weapons on the server, it is intended for snowball fun only! If I catch you using non-school yard regulation snowballs, a merry christmas banhammer slap for you! This means at the very least a 1 HOUR BAN

Swadian Dueling Tournaments! US - Finished

Hey community!
It is tournament time again and this time we are going to use our US servers.
Rules are same as last time, Legendary rewards.

We will have 5 different tournaments and you can join to any of them.

One Handed Tournament: 5.1.2013 - DONE

Two Handed Tournament: 12.1.2013 - DONE

Polearm Tournament: 20.2.2013 - DONE

Archer Tournament: 17.2.2013 - DONE

Crossbow Tournament: 24.2.2013 || - DONE
