Hoy players.
To let you know, we just removed forage props from NI maps and we are going to add those items as a loot.
If you still somehow find those props from maps, please report it to us.
IF you don't want to download maps ingame, you can download and install them from this link; https://www.dropbox.com/s/p079ynhw4o9j5xz/27.3.2014.rar
Copy to SceneObj folder. (\Mount&Blade Warband\Modules\NordInvasion\SceneObj)

Two common tasks that used to require waiting for a Senior Admin or Developer have now been automated: password resets and donator respecs.
The password reset instructions have been updated for the new system: Password Reset Instructions
New donators need to provide one of their character names along with their forum name when they confirm their donation with Hypernoma. Existing donators should post one of their IDs in the donator section if their accounts have not been marked already. The donator respec option is listed on the standard respec section of the account page.

March: The month of the purge |

Good evening,
As many of you know from conversations on IRC and Teamspeak, March is to be the month of the purge. This has been likened to the movie "The Purge" and bears many similarities except only I get to kill everyone. I am tired with the flagrant rule breaking, insulting, trolling, queue skipping, interrupting refills, bullying etc etc etc that has been going on. I will therefore be clearing out the undesirables from the NordInvasion community. It really is not difficult to be nice and just play this game and enjoy yourself. In the first year of NordInvasion it was a rarity that we banned players, such a rarity that we knew the name and reason of every single player that was banned. I now have a list hundreds of names long. Players used to have no problem playing together and having fun without the need to act like a bunch pre-pubescent children pulling hair on the playground. I am tired of it, the admin team is tired of it and I know many players who are also far too tired of it. A zero tolerance policy is now in effect until players can learn to act with the slightest degree of decorum. You do not have a right to play this mod, you have a privilege and it is time players acted in accordance with that privilege.
As this is the internet and positive reinforcement does not work, we will therefore build a nicer community through negative reinforcement aka the banhammer. I appreciate that the majority of the community are perfectly civil and a pleasure to play with but there are a fair number of players who have abused our good nature of late. They have crossed the line on repeated occasions and expect that they will not be met with repercussions. Time for that illusion to dissipate. I love this game and the community that has been built around it but there are those who seek to detract from the good nature of what I like to think is one of the most friendly and mature communities in Warband.
Love,
Hypernoma
TL;DR If you break my rules, I will break you. There is now a zero-tolerance policy.

A little over two years ago NI started on it's first steps towards being fully translated. This was started by Jez using a spreadsheet that users could edit and for the most part was fairly successful but recently as the website has expanded the translations are falling behind rapidly. I know that this makes for a very poor user experience for our international users and so I would like to announce a new effort to bring the web translations back up to scratch.
We will be launching a new translation centre in the next few days which will allow translators to make changes without the need for constant emailing and updating. Initially, the translatable areas will be limited but the web team are hard at work making alot of behind the scene changes to all the web code so that all text will be sent to the translation module and eventually the whole website will be international.
So what do we need? Well to be honest the dev team can't speak half the languages are users speak so I am asking for all those who helped before and anyone new who would like to help to stick their names below along with langauges and proficiency on a level of basic, good, fluent so that we can register people for access to the translation area.
Thanks for your help!
Lots of love,
/Nao & the NI Dev team

The official #nordinvasion IRC channel is now on Rizon! The move is due to Freenode policies we have become aware of.
From a user perspective, Rizon is almost exactly the same. Here are the details:
Web Client
Desktop Client
Server Adress: | irc.rizon.net |
Port Number: | 6697 (with SSL) / 6667 (without SSL) |
Channel: | #nordinvasion |
See you on the new channel!

Dear NI Community,
It is with regret that I am writing another of these messages. As I am sure you are all well aware, server hosting is not a cheap business and unfortunately the NI kitty is beginning to look a little bare once again. Earlier this year we increased our costs slightly to expand our US servers and this has placed a slightly greater financial burden on NI. It is however the unfortunate retirement of Ragnash that sees further strain put on the NI kitty. Ragnash not only carried out his duties as a senior admin but also was very kind in his donations every month to aid in the hosting of servers in Australia. At present we can afford to host NI until the beginning of March, failing any further donations throughout February. I am therefore asking our wonderful community to aid us in donations if they feel they would like to. As always there is absolutely no requirement to donate and you should feel no pressure to do so.
Again, I ask that no one posts about re-installing private servers; this will not happen. As stated when we shut down private servers, a section of the NI community proved that they could not be trusted and they have unfortunately soured the experience for the rest of the community. If you would like to assist us, please make donations directly to the NI paypal account.
We are working on a new patch just now and I am sure you have noticed updates in the web department of late. I can also divulge that a conversation was had regarding house campaigns and what our objectives are regarding it... We also have our massive item rebalance coming up, balancing of crafting recipes and the introduction of many new craftables including new horses. Cav mode will also be getting an overhaul XP and loot-wise, and there may even be a legendary lance on the way...
We continue to work hard and I have always said that I will endeavour to continue running NI as long as players still enjoy it. NI has outlasted all of our expectations and grown to be something much more than was ever envisioned. We have seen a surge of new players recently and I'm happy to announce that hundreds of players still play daily. Any assistance in supporting NI will be met with the greatest of gratitude.
Much love as always,
The NI Family

Hi all. Happy New Year! To those already in it, hope its going well, and for those who it is yet to reach, get those drinks at the ready. In celebration of another awesome year, we have pulled together 10 fun facts to share.
Enjoy!
19.7 Million
The number of times you guys hit the web pages. Thats nearly 54,000 pages served up every day!
I ho! I ho! It's off to work we go
Crafting seems to be a big past time in NI. Infact, after Character it is the most visited page. Messages narrowly beats Auction Hall for third.
USA! USA!
USA takes the number one spot this year to narrowly beat out Germany as the biggest visitors to the site. UK, Australia and Poland fill the top five.
26,000
This is the number of characters you lot all created this year. An astonishing number that leaves us wondering where did you get all that spare time...
134,000
Money, Money, Money..... Money! You guys went crazy this year with trades, completing over 134,000 trades
200,000
Questing seems to be rather popular with over 200,000 completed.
Apple on top
Perhaps not a big surprise, Apple's iPhone, iPad and iPod took the top places in mobile devices. Google's Nexus 7 and Samsung's SII make up the rest of the top 5. Interestingly, Naozumi loves his Nexus 7...
IOS
Of course that means that IOS was the top mobile operating system followed by Android and Windows Phone as the top 3. Other interesting things here are the use of Firefox OS, and visits from rather more unconventional devices such as the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS.
Hoarding
We all know that some people like to hoard out there. Theres even TV shows about it. You guys appear to love your Rough Cloths with a rather large amount being held up by players and houses. But we think its Yuri who really wins out for having over 100,000 Aketon. Oh and if you'd be just kind enough to swing by the officers over there on your way out... Thanks!
16,000
And saving the best for last (well, in my opinion anyway), you have successfully consumed in excess of 16,000 GB of network traffic on the main server alone. Congratulations! Remind us to avoid network traffic restrictions...
Well, hopefully you enjoyed these stats. Remember if you are kicking around that there are NI events ongoing over the new year here and we will see you in 2014!
Lots of love!
/Nao & All of the NI Dev Team

Hi folks, as part of our continual upgrades to NordInvasion we pushed out some architecture changes that overhaull some of the core features of the web server. Whilst we have tested as much as possible it is more than likely that something has been missed. As such, we ask that you all report anything you see that seems untoward and bear with us on any issues discovered.
Thanks & lots of love,
/Nao & the NI Dev Team
Changelog: - Architecture Changes
- Database stuff
- Other changes that will not appear on the front of the site but lay foundations for further developments
