bruh
This would be a good time to actually confirm there is actively a plan in place to establish 'NI II' given that the last 'post' was an april fools post.
The majority of members of the development team want access to dedicated servers and the module source code first before we definitive response on whether we'll develop NI2 or not.
A large part of creating software is planning. Without the info needed we can really create a development plan.
There has been some internal discussions on things from NordInvasion that we would like to keep in NordInvasion 2 and stuff we want to avoid, hopefully we'll be able to share that list closer to the release of the module source.

This one I feel like I dropped the ball on as I forgot to mention the main advantage If it was not obvious over doing a " you just get stat and skill points as you level and you get to allocate them as you wish?".
For doing it my way you only need to make 8 classes then have all items for all possible outcomes. With a point system like native or what's been suggested here, If you want a bit more hp or what that requires making a new class altogether.
Look at TF2 vs Overwatch for example. Tf2 gives you 9 classes as a base then allows you to give custom stats to them using different items. Compare this with overwatch and well If you like one hero but what It to be a little bit different for some runs you need to play a fully new hero. This makes no logical sense given classes (people) are capable of well changing a bit.
Given unlike TF2 Ni2 would have weapons + armour that would affect stats so the possible outcomes would be enough for any normal person to be happy anyway.

I would still be in the negative for time investment. The Devs have had to read a lot of stuff they don't want to do for some things they either want to adapt or take.
Either way I wouldn't accept it.

Last time I was checking there was no MP mods support and TW were working on SP mostly.
I've even downloaded and compiled couple of mods, read sources and such. Technically it's great, but definitely recreating NI in MB2 will be titanical work. Is there any Invasion mods yet? Lazy to check right now.

At least the community can start creating assets such as maps and equipment, and if the mod doesn't go ahead no big deal release them as stand-alone weapons/maps for general bannerlord use or re-purpose for another mod down the line.
I'm guessing the devs won't announce NI II officially until they have the tools available to determine if it's feasible but would be nice to have something to look forward to.

I don't think I want to be on the NI2 team as a developer, but rather among the larger group of contributors.
I think NI 2 would be great and of course if a decent team can be established development could process really fast, but I don't see it happening with the current development team and/or structure.
Neither have I been keeping up with any updates on mod support for Bannerlord.
